THE COTTONWOOD GLEN STORY

How we got our start

The true birth of Cottonwood Glen was in January of 2015 when we hit the ground running to complete the Grand Patio, Pergola and The Glen by July 1st. We officially opened for business on June 22nd of that year. Everything we do is a labor of love as we truly care about making your day special for everyone.

Our main purpose is to be the perfect, warm environment for your outdoor wedding. We strive to give you our very best and are honored to be your wedding venue. Everything down to the naming of The Glen hearkens back to who we are and where we came from.

MEET JULIE

I’m Julie! I’m a Venue Specialist here at Cottonwood Glen. I love sharing the charming setting that Cottonwood Glen has to offer with each of our couples and helping them create exquisite memories from their special day. Nothing compares to witnessing the unity of love unfold amidst the beautiful natural surroundings of The Glen. I am so blessed to be part of this experience for each of our couples.

When I’m not working, you will find me on an adventure with my husband Jacob, our son Caleb, and, when lucky enough to join in the fun, our Shih Tzu, Rio. Whether we are enjoying the quiet outdoors, or planning our next big adventure, we treasure the moments we get to spend together. I am eagerly awaiting my graduation day in May when I will receive my degree in Hospitality- Event Management from Metro State University. My favorite things in life include getting all dolled up, no special occasion needed, eating Italian food, looking through old photographs, and curling up under a blanket next to a fire.

Nothing compares to witnessing the unity of love unfold amidst the beautiful natural surroundings of The Glen.

MEET KATIE

My love for weddings and events began while I was in high school but really flourished while I was at Baylor University getting my bachelor’s degree. I had an amazing opportunity to work with a large event planning and production company and learned many things about both the industry and myself. I learned the value of building a true relationship with the people you work with. I believe in treating everyone like family and strive to make you feel like you belong here.

No matter how many weddings we have hosted, I always cry when the bride begins her walk down our pathway to The Glen. I’m definitely a sappy person. The things I hold nearest to my heart would be my little family, my husband Daniel and son William, and our fur baby Lily and our family traditions like hiking and watching Baylor football games.

I believe in treating everyone like family and strive to make you feel like you belong here.
